There is growing public concern about the spread of avian influenza in U.S. poultry flocks. AV-DEFENSE™ is designed as a green chemistry that disinfects surfaces against avian influenza (such as H1N1 and H3N2) and bacteria encountered in grow out houses, egg hatcheries, and other equipment or facilities handling live poultry.

With the ever-increasing governmental regulations and over 76 million reported cases of food borne illness a year, maintaining adequate levels of sanitation is paramount to food safety. Equally important is controlling microorganisms which may decrease egg hatchability or viability of a flock. AV-DEFENSE™ is for disinfecting of non-porous food contact surfaces.

• Fast Acting - 5 minute contact time
• For Organic Production: Used in rinse or wash water on products labeled as organic. Used as a sanitizer on food contact surfaces in contact with products labeled as organic.
• Anti-viral: Effective disinfectant against avian influenza such as Influenza A virus (H1N1 and H3N2 strains), Influenza B virus, Parainfluenza virus Type 3, Newcastle Disease virus, Avian Reovirus, Avian Infectious Bronchitis virus, Infectious Bursal Disease virus and Infectious Bovine Rhinitracheitis virus.
• Disinfection against other micro-organisms: gram positive and gram negative bacteria such as Staphylococcus aureus, Salmonella choleraesuis, Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
